You're ready to start using Trainerfu to provide value to your clients. Let's cover the basics to get you started and become more familiar with the app.

Step 1: Checkout the sample client

When you first log in to Trainerfu, you will see that you already have a client (Kate Smith) added to your clients list. This is a sample client. It is there so that you can explore the app without having to add your own clients.

So take advantage of this and play around to get used to the app. Here are some ideas to get you started:

  • Click on the Plan button to go to Kate's client view and update her plan. Try adding an exercise or scheduling a workout 2 weeks from today.

  • Go to the Diary to review her recent activities.

  • And go to the Assessments section to review her metrics.

Step 2: Checkout the Trainerfu client app

Your clients can download the Trainerfu app on their phone to access their plan, track workouts, log assessments, and more. It's a good idea to see how the app looks to your clients. To checkout the client app:

  • Open Trainerfu on your iOS or Android device.

  • On the clients screen, you will see a link, Checkout client app next to the sample client. Click on this link.

  • This will switch your app to the client app. You will now see what a client will see when they login to the app. Explore the client app for a bit to familiarize yourself with it.

  • When you are ready, click Go Back to the Trainer App to switch back.

Step 3: Add your own clients

Once you have become more comfortable with Trainerfu, it is time to add your own clients to the app. To do that:

  1. Go to the clients view.

  2. Click on the Add New button.

  3. Enter the details, and then add your client.

When you add a client, the app will ask you if you want to send an invite to the client. The invite email contains the email and password a client should use to login to the app. Click the Send Invite button to send the email.

If you would rather design your workout plan for a client before sending the invite, you can do that as well. When you're ready, simply come back to the clients view and click Send Invite next to the client row.

Step 4: Send workouts to clients

Once you have added your clients, it's time to add a workout plan for them to follow. Let's do that next.

  • Click on the Workout Plan button in the client row to go to the client's workout plan view.

  • Add exercises (+ Exercise) to a day to build a workout for the client.

  • Trainerfu already comes with more than a thousand exercises with videos. But in case you don't find the one you are looking for, you can always create a new one by clicking the Create New Exercise button in the exercise search view.

  • Follow the same process for other days to create a workout plan for your clients.

Once you do design the workout plan, the client will be able to see the workouts in their client app. They simply need to click Start This Workout next to the workout to start logging their workout.

Step 5: Keep on top of everything in the news feed.

The Trainerfu news feed feature provides a social media like feed where you and clients can communicate with each other. When a client completes a workout or any other activities, you will see the update on your news feed.

The news feed is the place to keep on top of things and provide feedback, accountability, and support to all your clients.

These steps are a great starting point to using Trainerfu, but Trainerfu has many other features to help you save time and grow your business. Once you get a bit familiar with the app, we recommend you to read following articles next:
